Your questions answered

Q — Will I need winter tyres?
A — Yes, probably. Better safe than sorry.
Q — Will I need fenders?
A — Up to you. You might be unpopular if you don't have them but hej.
Q — What happens if my bike breaks?
A — We'll have a bunch of tools and spares at the castle but hopefully nothing major goes wrong. If there are issues while you're out riding that mean you need a lift back we'll come get ya.
Q — Is there a place to wash my bike?
A — No not really, but we'll have some old rags and whatnot on hand so you can give your drivetrain some TLC — be sure to bring your favourite lube though.
Q — Do I need to bring bedding or a sleeping bag?
A — No. Bedding is provided for you by the castle.
Q — Do I need to take a towel?
A — No. Towels are provided for you by the castle.
Q — Is the food vegatarian-/vegan-friendly?
A — Yes. All food is vegetarian and there's a vegan option too.
Q — Is lunch provided?
A — No. We have stops planned on the routes for Friday, Saturday & Sunday so you can buy yourself lunch.
Q — Should I bring my own booze?
A — You shouldn't need to. We'll have plenty of beer and wine available at the castle which is run as an honesty bar — you mark down what you've taken and at the end you pay for what you had. If you want something that isn't beer or wine then email basemiles@highandover.cc and we'll see what we can do for you.
Q — Are there laundry machines?
A — No. In the past it's been known for people to wash their Friday kit in the showers on Friday night so it's dry for Sunday.
Q — Are we sharing rooms?
A — Yes. normally you'll buddy up with others and find a room that works.
Q — Can I bring skis?
A — No.
