The plan

Friday 20th January

Route on Ride With GPS

10:00

Meet in the car park at Östertälje Pendeltåg station.

Drop your bag off in our car and do your last bits of faffing before saddling up for the ride to the castle.

13:00 (ish)

Lunch stop in Gnesta.

We recommend the famous Dragon Pizza Deli Grill, but there are other options if this one doesn't float your boat.

There are a couple of little shops here as well in case you need to stock up on more snacks, drinks, etc.

16:30 (ish)

Arrive at Rockelstad Slott (aka "The Castle").

Park your bike, collect your bag, pick up some bedding & towel (the castle supplies these for you) and grab yourself a room.

Hang your kit to dry, shower up and get ready for dinner.

17:30 (ish)

Dinner.

Menu TBD but as always it'll be vegetarian and we'll have a vegan option. Make sure you eat plenty — it's a long day ahead of you tomorrow.

If you're feeling kind then lending a hand to clean up afterwards would be much appreciated.

19:00 (ish)

Whatver ya like.

Light the fire, fix your bike, open a beer, uncork the wine.

The evening is what you make of it.

Saturday 21st January

10:00

Suit up and roll out.

We have a couple of route options to pick from. We suggest you set off in groups and go at a pace that all are happy with.

Each route includes a lunch stop.

16:00 (ish)

Arrive back at the castle.

Shower up and, chill out and get ready for dinner.

17:30 (ish)

Dinner.

Menu TBD but as always it'll be vegetarian and we'll have a vegan option. Make sure you eat plenty — it's a long day ahead of you tomorrow.

If you're feeling kind then lending a hand to clean up afterwards would be much appreciated.

19:00 (ish)

The 2nd edition of The Basemiles Quiz — Totally optional — you don't have to play if you don't want to.

Pit your wits against each other in a general knowledge quiz that'll feature a round curated by the wonderful Mr David Bragmark.

Fabulous prizes are on offer for the winners.

20:00 (ish)

Basically the same as the night before.

Go play.
